I have lived a portion of my life in the shadows of shame.<\/p>\n

With deep wounds, I hid in the dark.<\/p>\n

Knowing well, the empty, barren life.<\/p>\n

Threatening to swallow me whole.<\/p>\n

Scarred, unclean, unworthy of good things.<\/p>\n

Patterns repeating, toxic voices, yelling loud.
\n<\/p>\n

<\/br><\/p>\n

Hitting a wall, I turned my eyes up.<\/p>\n

Desperately wanting, hungry for more.<\/p>\n

Reaching out, like the woman in the crowd.<\/p>\n

Touching the fringe of His robe.<\/p>\n

Soft eyes, He saw me, broken, exposed.<\/p>\n

Healing, wholeness, He offered.<\/p>\n

<\/br><\/p>\n

Eyes cast down, shame, a festering wound.<\/p>\n

His healing touch, unable to receive.<\/p>\n

Working the angles, as to earn His affection.<\/p>\n

Buckling under the weight, an impossible demand.<\/p>\n

My image of God, distorted, all wrong.<\/p>\n

Fear making life small, making God small.<\/p>\n

<\/br><\/p>\n

He comes to bring abundant life.<\/p>\n

He, the giver of good gifts.<\/p>\n

His one and only Son, His life he gave for me.<\/p>\n

This high price, He paid in full.<\/p>\n

Not by my own merit, by His grace alone.<\/p>\n

His great love, ransomed me.<\/p>\n

<\/br><\/p>\n

Weak though willing, I released my grip.<\/p>\n

He, restoring my barren years.<\/p>\n

Birthing beauty and strength from the emptiness, the pain.<\/p>\n

Healed. Worthy. Complete.<\/p>\n

Chosen. Adopted. Lavishly Loved.<\/p>\n

Daughter of The King.<\/p>\n

<\/br><\/p>\n

Just then a woman who had suffered for twelve years with constant bleeding came up behind him. She touched the fringe of his robe, for she thought,<\/p>\n

\u201cIf I can just touch his robe, I will be healed.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jesus turned around, and when he saw her he said,<\/p>\n

\u201cDaughter, be encouraged! Your faith has made you well.\u201d<\/p>\n

And the woman was healed at that moment.<\/p>\n
