Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us.”
\nEphesians 3:20<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\nEphesians 3:20 paints such a vivid word picture of the great power we have through Jesus. To think that He is able to do immeasurably more than all we can ask or even imagine. More than we can measure. More than we can ask. More than we can imagine. More than even this, His power is at work in us.<\/p>\n
I have the privilege of being part of a woman’s bible study each week and this has been such a blessing for both my children and I. We go as we are and we are welcomed, encouraged and loved by beautiful and amazing woman of faith. This fall our study was on the book called “Gideon: Your Weakness, God’s Strength”. It is written by Priscilla Shirer who has such a passion for God and a dynamic way of writing and teaching about the power of God. In this study, Priscilla writes about personal battles we may be anticipating in our lives. She states that we should, “Face the battle from a stance of victory”.<\/p>\n
As we begin our journey toward adoption I know that we are facing a battle. I have felt Satan pressing down hard in the last few months as our hearts have turned towards adopting. Satan does not like adoption. In adoption, a child is released from a life of oppression and that is exactly where he wants us all to stay. There will be many road blocks and hardships that I am certain we will face. I also know that the battle will only get harder once our child is home. None of it will come easy but I also know that our God is greater and he will overcome every road block and see us through all hardships. He has already won the battle and he has come to redeem and heal.<\/p>\n
In the mighty name of Jesus, I claim a Banner of Victory over our children, our family, our home and over the battle that we will wage. May we each take a” Stance of Victory” in the battles we may be facing. God is with us and He is for us.<\/p>\n
