I told my husband yesterday that all I wanted for Christmas was a completed dossier. Not something that most people want or understand the need for unless you are or have been in the throngs of international adoption paperwork. I had already written and scheduled my post, “Waiting Well” although I was far from waiting well. I was weary, tired and overly emotional.
Even so, God is so very good. We found out yesterday morning from our adoption agency that if the last document we were waiting for were received before the end of this week then we could summit our dossier to our agency for review.
This was huge because we were also waiting on Bulgaria to send us a newly revised medical form that we would have needed to take to our doctor (for the third time) and have it notarized and then apostilled in Sacramento (for the second time). Bulgaria is accepting a few dossiers without the new medical form only through the end of next week. So we have a very limited window of time.
Early yesterday evening, after arriving home from picking up dinner, I spotted a package sitting in our mail box. It was the last document we had been waiting for.
Our family shouted, sang, danced with joy! Together praising God for He is Good!
Today our COMPLETED dossier was sent via overnight delivery to our adoption agency. It should be in our agency’s hot hands Wednesday morning and then they will begin the agreement process with Bulgaria on our behalf and hopefully will be all submitted to Bulgaria by the end of next week!
God is at work and He is able to do IMMEASURABLY MORE
than all we can ask or imagine! (Ephesians 3:20)
To God be the Glory!

Thank you for your faithful prayers. Please continue to pray. We are one step closer although with the adoption process there can always be set backs and road blocks. The evil one tries to pull all the stops but to no avail. God is moving, paving our way. May we continue to trust Him in the waiting, knowing His timing is perfect. He is in complete control, down to the smallest detail. May this truth resonate in our hearts and bring peace and quiet rest.

In case you have missed it, we have setup an Adopt Together profile, their mission is to help provide a way to give a financial gift to an adopting family and receive a tax write off.
During the month of December, any Adopt Together donation will qualify for a chance to receive a beautiful handcrafted, “Cradle to the Cross” candle holder that journeys through both Advent and Lent. We will also included Ann Voskamp’s newest book, an advent devotional entitled, Unwrapping the Greatest Gift: A Family Celebration of Christmas.
We hope you will Give Today to bring us financially closer.
We will draw one donor’s name on the night of December 31st
.
