I too vividly remember around the same age, coming to your baptism. I had already been baptized at the age of 6 and I knew in my child like way that this was so very special. I remember feeling joy bubble up inside me as I watched you. You, bravely standing up in front of a very large church and publicly committing your life to Jesus. It is a memory that is imprinted on my heart and will remain a clear reminder that we are each made new creation in Christ!

I think of the pictures I have of you when you were about 8 years old at your Mother’s baby shower (here in Illinois).
