Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine.”
Isaiah 43:1b NIV
I am a Child of God.
I have been redeemed.
I am no longer bond by fear.
I have been released, set free.
I flee from darkness.
Death as no grip on me.
I live into His truth, His light.
Opening my heart, I receive.
His Love is a Banner over me.
I claim His Victory.
I am His, He is mine.
I am a Child of God.
I have engraved you on the palms of my hands.”
Isaiah 49:16a NIV
In love, he predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will.”
Ephesians 1:4-5 NIV
This song entitled, “No Longer Slaves”, by Jonathan and Melissa Hesler spoke deeply to me and inspired this post. I pray that it will also bless you today.
Lord, thank you for surrounding me with your love. You continually sing over me the truth of who I am. I am Yours.
I claim the beautiful power of these words, over my own life and my family. Do not allow fear to hinder us from becoming all that you have created us to be.
Even more so, I pray this for our future daughter. Break the chains that bind her, deliver her, bring her home. She will no longer be called orphan. She is Yours. May this song be her Anthem, Your Love her Banner.
In the name of Jesus I pray, Amen.
No Longer Slaves – Lyrics
You unravel me, with a melody
You surround me with a song
Of deliverance, from my enemies
Till all my fears are gone
I’m no longer a slave to fear
I am a child of God
I’m no longer a slave to fear
I am a child of God
From my mothers womb
You have chosen me
Love has called my name
I’ve been born again, into your family
Your blood flows through my veins
I’m no longer a slave to fear
I am a child of God
I’m no longer a slave to fear
I am a child of God
I’m no longer a slave to fear
I am a child of God
I’m no longer a slave to fear
I am a child of God
I am surrounded
By the arms of the father
I am surrounded
By songs of deliverance
We’ve been liberated
From our bondage
We’re the sons and the daughters
Let us sing our freedom
You split the sea
So I could walk right through it
All my fears were drowned in perfect love
You rescued me
So I could stand and sing
I am child of God…

We have escaped like a bird from the fowler’s snare; the snare has been broken, and we have escaped. Psalm 127:4
I have loved this verse for many, many years because it illustrates my own experience. Or maybe my experience illustrates the verse that God wrote so long ago.

Wondered if I wanted to watch a 6 min. video, but it was totally worth it. By the end, I could feel the anointing.

Thanks for sharing this, especially today. I heard this song recently at Willow Creek’s Global Leadership Summit, and it was very moving. Now I have the words. I also loved the photos of your precious children.
