He came and suffered. It wasn’t me who started the relationship it was Him. It indeed is His power at work in me with nothing for me to boast about.

We see that same thing echoed in adoption. An infant in need of adoption doesn’t know they need adopting. It is the parent that initiates the relationship. It is the parents love that begins it.
